Are Volbella injections safe?

If you would like to define and contour your lips and also reduce the lines around your mouth, Juvederm Volbella is an excellent choice. Juvederm Volbella provides a subtle enhancement for the lips, so that they look natural and not too puffy. Volbella injectable is considered one of the most effective alternatives available for lip augmentation. But are Volbella injections safe.

Juvederm Volbella
Volbella is a facial fillerby Allergan, which is designed to augment the lips, and fill in lines and wrinkles around the mouth.  The lines near the mouth, which are known as perioral rhytids, generally form as a result of aging, excess sun, or smoking.  Volbella is formulated using Allergan’s Vycross technology, and this makes it smooth and easy to administer.

How it works
Volbella is a smooth gel that is derived from hyaluronic acid. It is injected into the lips or lines using an ultra-fine needle. The hyaluronic acid attracts water and this enables it to fill in the lines and wrinkles, and also add moisture to the lips.

Are Volbella injections safe?
Volbella is comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance that is found in the body. Hyaluronic acid fillers are therefore considered very safe, and there have been no adverse effects reported.  Usual side effects include swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the treatment site.

Before being cleared by the FDA, Volbella underwent several clinical trials to determine its safety and effectiveness. Subsequent to those trials, Juvederm Volbella was approved for use in adults 21 years of age and older.

Juvederm Volbella injection treatment is available at Laser Skin Care Center Dermatology Associates, located in Long Beach, CA.
