What is the recovery time for Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Do you want to overhaul the tone and texture of your skin without going under the knife? There are new, minimally invasive procedures that can revitalize your skin, and give you natural-looking results. Laser skin rejuvenation treatments make your skin look better, faster, but what is the recovery time for laser skin resurfacing?

Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a cosmetic procedure that uses laser energy to improve the tone and texture of the skin. It is an effective anti-aging treatment that tightens the skin, and reverses sun damage. Laser skin resurfacing improves skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, scars, brown spots, and age spots.

But how does it work? Depending on the technology used laser resurfacing either removes the outer surface of the skin, or penetrates to the deeper levels to stimulate collagen production.

What is the recovery time for laser skin resurfacing?
There are lots of options available for laser skin resurfacing, so the recovery time varies depending on the specific treatment. Fractional laser resurfacing is less aggressive, because only micro zones of the skin are treated, resulting in faster healing. Recovery time ranges from 2-3 days with fractional laser treatment.

Ablative skin resurfacing treats the entire upper surface of the skin, and is therefore more invasive.  You’ll need about 7 days of recovery time with this type of treatment.

If you would like to improve the look of your complexion, and the feel of your skin, laser skin resurfacing can give you incredible results.
